The BBC are producing a series of educational animations. This one is about DNA and is the first in the series. We added a custom music track and subtle sound design to help the animation and voice over come together.

Channel 4

As well as producing the music track for the title sequence of the show ‘How To Date’ for one of Channel 4’s music networks, we were asked to help these cool little guys come alive using sound design. A few too many coffees and some helium later, this is what happened.

Wasted Time (Ross PTH Remix)

Gilles Peterson

When he’s not working on music for Microsoft or Rimmel, our very own Ross is always busy writing tunes and producing remixes, under several aliases . This time it’s a remix for Belleruche which features on the new Brownswood Recordings compilation. Compiled by world renowned DJ/taste-maker and champion of all things cutting edge Gilles Peterson.

Rimmel London

We were super excited when this film arrived in our inbox. It’s all about ‘attitude’ and edge this one. Electro-charged, Rock ‘n Roll to support one of UK fashions biggest exports, none other than Kate Moss.

Quantic & Alice Russell

This one was engineered live by our very own Simon Little. The session was recorded in the middle of Hackney on the night of the riots! It was a very special session that was recorded direct to vinyl.

TK Maxx

This was a real thought provoker. We wanted to reflect the beautifully shot, emotive visuals, whilst maintaining and element of simplicity and youthfulness to the track. Combining folk inspired vocals with minimal electronica to create something reticently powerful.

Tate Modern

We’re always eager to get involved with as many different sound related projects as possible. So you can imagine our excitement when Tate Gallery asked for a workshop to be presented about visual audio interfaces.

The sound design of this film was made in two parts, we constructed the initial beats and framework for the picture editor. Once the edit was complete we started the fun part and added the sound effects to compliment all of the actions and movement in the piece.

Schwarzkopf

A bit of a nostalgic early electro edge to this one, but still rooted in the current. Lots of energy, pace and fun wrapped up in what’s proven to be a hugely successful sync direction for us.

Quidco

A light-hearted, friendly and energetic soundtrack to accompany an extremely positive animated film packed with the same components.

Bonobo Live
Simon from Room-24 was the original keyboard player in Bonobo’s highly successful live band. It took him across Europe, USA, Canada and he even found himself drinking vodka (and playing music) in Russia. We still continue to work with various Ninja Tune artists.
